> Your complete guide to running US payroll with the **USA Payroll** app by Bizmap Technologies, from employee setup to tax filings.

## What is Payroll?

Payroll is the process of managing and processing employee compensation for a specific
pay period. Built by **Bizmap Technologies** on the Frappe/ERPNext platform, the **USA Payroll** app calculates employee earnings, deductions,
taxes, and net pay, then generates salary slips (check stubs) based on your configured
salary structures and payroll settings.

The module also handles **US specific compliance**, federal tax withholding, FICA
(Social Security & Medicare), ACH direct deposit, printed checks, and the annual/quarterly
tax forms (W2, W3, and Form 941).
